Wife Says New York Man Plotted to Fake His Own Death
A missing man from Long Island, New York turned up alive a few days after his son reported him missing in an apparent drowning at Jones Beach. Resources were sent out to find 47-year-old Raymond Roth, but his whereabouts were discovered when he got a speeding in South Carolina. Roth’s wife, Evana, said he allegedly tripled his life insurance policy in January and recently revised his will.
His wife believes he plotted to fake his death. She said he left behind his keys and wallet, and she also found suspicious emails between
Roth and their 22-year-old son. In one email, it appears that Roth told the son to call from a payphone or a friend’s phone to update him on how things were going at home. The police are currently investigating this matter and there has been no decision made as to whether criminal charges will be filed.
