AUDIO: Radio Transmissions Moments After Man Begins Shooting at Sikh Temple; New Details Emerge About Alleged Shooter
The dramatic radio transmissions from police have been released, revealing the minutes after a man opened fire at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin. The dispatcher can be heard saying, “I’m taking report of an altercation, a Sikh temple. I’ve a lot of noise. I’m unable to get much info, but there’s a fight.”
In another transmission an officer says, “Man with a gun
in the parking lot, white t-shirt.” Then, gunshots and sirens are heard going off in the background.
Also, new details are emerging about the suspected shooter Wade Michael Page. A private intelligence firm reports that he identified himself as a member of a skinhead group based in Texas and supposedly posted hundreds of messages on Internet forums urging white supremacists to stand and fight.
Rick Leventhal reported that Page's ex-girlfriend, Misty Cook, was apparently arrested earlier today for having a gun inside her apartment. A Fox News producer spoke to the ex-girlfriend who called the shooting a tragedy and said that it shouldn't be sensationalized.
