Rudy Giuliani on the Status of Welfare in America: Obama Wants Us to Be a Dependency Society

This morning, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani joined Fox and Friends to discuss the fact that over 100 million people in the United States are now receiving some form of federal welfare.

Giuliani said, “There’s no question that President Obama wants to move us to be more of a dependency society … extending unemployment is a great example.”

Giuliani talked about his own work to reform welfare in New York City, which began in 1994. Giuliani said that ultimately, he was able to move 500,000 people off the welfare rolls.
