Utah Woman on Trial for Trying to Run Over Husband Claims Xanax Is Responsible for Behavior
A Utah woman, Brenda White, is on trial for trying to mow down her husband with her car in the midst of an ugly divorce battle. However, White is now saying that it was the popular prescription medicine Xanax that's really behind her, um, bizarre behavior.
Apparently, on the day in question, White went to the parking garage of her husband's office building and overheard him on the phone, telling another woman that he loved her. That's when she says she took a handful of Xanax ... and doesn't remember anything else.
A couple of hours later, the angry wife did hit him, running her car through the front doors of the office building itself. She broke both of his legs and left him with 63 stitches on his arms, legs and face. The crazy and dangerous occurrence was all caught on tape:
