White House Will Not Yet Repudiate Super PAC Cancer Ad
Despite criticism, the White House has not yet released a statement repudiating a controversial super PAC ad in which Mitt Romney is linked to the death of a steel worker’s wife.
Lanny Davis, the former special counsel to Bill Clinton now with Purple Nation Solutions, claims that the White House is making a big mistake by not addressing the ad.
“That cancer ad is wrong because it’s misleading. It doesn’t say that this woman, who tragically died of cancer, actually had another job with another insurance policy that was ultimately suspended when she left that job.”
“It’s intentional deception,” Davis later added. He also said, “This ad hurts Barack Obama. And Barack Obama should not only repudiate it because it’s wrong, he should repudiate it because it’s hurting his candidacy, which I am supporting.”
