Background Info on Rep. Ryan:

Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI) came out in support of Mitt Romney shortly before the Wisconsin primary and has been an ardent supporter of the Romney campaign ever since. Ryan’s strong conservative record in Congress and vehement opposition to many of the new policies set forth by President Obama put the congressman right on par to be a great VP choice for Mitt Romney.

Highlights of Ryan on Fox News Channel:

“We have still a chance in America to turn this around and get back to economic prosperity. We have a window of opportunity to get through this, but if we lose it, in the next two years, we could have our own debt crisis just like they’re experiencing in Europe, and President Obama is bringing us toward that kind of a moment.” --Rep. Ryan on the importance of replacing President Obama. Watch More Here

“Even economists from the president’s own party say that this is a really bad idea for job creation,” Ryan said. “So he even knows that raising taxes on successful small businesses is not good for job creation, yet he’s pressing forward with this. --Rep. Ryan on the effects Obamacare will have on the economy. Watch More Here

“(The healthcare law) was sold on three broken promises. One, it’s a tax on middle income taxpayers. Number two, President Obama said health care premiums will go down – no, they went up. They went up about $2,500 dollars. Number three, he said if you like the plan you have, you could keep it. Well now we’re finding out that millions of people are poised to lose their health insurance once this becomes effective.” --Rep. Ryan on how the law was pitched to the American people by supporters of the law. Watch More Here
