Police: Two People Confirmed Dead in College Station, Texas Shooting
Two people have been confirmed dead in a shooting that occurred near Texas A&M University in College Station. Asst. Chief Scott McCollum confirmed that when officers arrived on scene they began taking fire and there was a constable down in the front yard. The constable who was pronounced dead at a local hospital has been identified as Brian Bachmann. Bachmann responded to the address where the shooting took place, but the reason for his response is still being investigated.
Another College Station police officer was shot in the leg and is receiving treatment at a local hospital. Two civilians were shot as well, including a female who is currently undergoing surgery and a male who is deceased. Two additional officers
received non-life threatening injuries and are being treated. McCollum called the shooting a tragedy and said that there are many agencies currently assisting local law enforcement. He said there will be more information provided as soon as possible.
