Reince Priebus on Ryan VP Choice: ‘Americans Want Solutions and Mitt Romney Is a Leader for Taking the Message Forward’
Republicans are keeping up the pressure on President Obama now by reportedly tallying up some of the president’s 2008 campaign promises and seeing whether or not they hold up to reality.
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus described Obama’s promises as “full of deceit and deception,” and said that it’s not going to work anymore because “The RNC and Mitt Romney are going to be able to outspend Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee.”
In discussing Romney’s VP choice, Priebus said, “I think people appreciate the fact that Mitt Romney has a plan to get our economy back on track, that they appreciate his leadership and choosing Paul Ryan. I think people are sick and tired of this plasticized Washington mentality that Barack Obama has embraced in speeches and platitudes, not really getting any better.”
He concluded, “I think most Americans will agree that given the state of our economy, given the fact that spending is out of control, isn’t it every member of the House and the Senate, isn’t it their responsibility to come up with solutions to problems? […] That’s what Paul Ryan has done and Mitt Romney is a leader for taking the message forward.”
