VIDEO: Alligator Attacks Trainer During Ohio County Fair
There’s terrifying new video of what was supposed to be a benign gator show at the Ohio County Fair.
In the video, you can see the alligator spring up and chomp down on the trainer's arm with his teeth.
Amazingly, the trainer walked away with nothing more than a few stitches.
Professional alligator handler Jeff Quattrocchi, a.k.a. “Swampmaster,” weighed in on what happened during today’s America’s Newsroom.
He acknowledged that the trainer here made a big mistake, and said that by looking at this video it seemed like the routine was rushed. “He might have just had a bad day, I’m not sure. From what I saw, he just didn’t take his time. He kind of rushed him a little bit; his jump was off, and you can’t afford for that to happen.”
From his experience, Quattrocchi said, “He was handling a pretty aggressive alligator. It’s very technical handling alligators; people don’t really understand it. Every show could be your last, and I think this guy might have figured that out after this bite.”
