Dean Cain Reveals What It’s Like Competing on NBC's 'Stars Earn Stripes,' Describes Show as a 'Love Song to Our Men and Women in Uniform’
It is truly a test of mind, body and spirit for the eight celebrities tackling military-style missions for the NBC reality show, 'Stars Earn Stripes.'
Actor Dean Cain, who is one of the celebs competing on the show, joined Fox and Friends this morning to speak about his experiences. Cain describes the challenges of the show as “really tough,” but pointed out that we need to remember that our troops do handle similar feats every day.
Cain said that in the show the celebrities are competing team against team. He said, “It doesn’t matter how strong you are as an individual, you’re only as strong as your team members, and that’s the whole deal.”
He stressed, “In this show, there’s no pretend. It’s the real deal. We have real guns. We’re shooting with real live ammo. It’s very, very dangerous. It’s a whole different ballgame when you walk in the room as an actor and you shoot the room up … it’s a piece of cake, but when you’re really firing, it’s a whole different thing.”
“This whole show is a love song to our men and women in uniform. It’s showing what they do every single day and how difficult it is ... They’re amazing. We’re not trying to glorify war, we’re glorifying service.”
