Police have identified the gunman in Monday’s deadly shootout just a block from Texas A&M University. Officials were attempting to serve Thomas Caffall an eviction notice when he opened fire from inside his home, killing 41-year-old constable Brian Bachmann. After police arrived on the scene, they exchanged shots with the 35-year-old for nearly 30 minutes. Two other people were killed in the gunfire, including Caffall. His mother now says that her son was having difficulties with his mental health.
