Coach Joe Gibbs on How to Formulate a Game Plan for Your Life
Coach Joe Gibbs has led his racing team to three NASCAR cup series championships, but let’s not forget the three NFL Super Bowl titles he acquired as coach of the Washington Redskins.
The legendary coach is now sharing his story in two brand-new books called, “Game Plan for Life: Chalk Talks Devotional,” and “Game Plan for Life Bible.” Gibbs joined Fox and Friends this morning to talk about his successes, his new books, and his faith.
Gibbs told Fox and Friends that life is a game, “You and I are the players in the biggest game of all.
What do you have to have to play the right game? The right team, the right head coach and you’ve got to have a game plan. ” He believes God is the head coach in this game of life.
When asked whether football or NASCAR is more fulfilling, Gibbs responded, “My wife had the best answer, she goes, ‘It’s like having babies. They’re all great. All wins are great.’ You can’t separate them. To win a Super Bowl is an awesome experience; I loved it with the Redskins. I feel like with NASCAR, to win the championship ... It’s the same feeling. You can’t separate those.”
He concluded, “I’m the most blessed guy in the world. Most people never get to live out one dream. I’ve got to live out two."
