Col. North: What’s the Obama Team’s Problem With the Constitution?

There are new concerns today over whether enough is being done to protect America’s military voters this election. A judge is hearing arguments today over an Obama campaign lawsuit that challenges an Ohio law that creates an extra voting opportunity for those in uniform. The state is trying to provide three extra days for those in the military to vote, but the Obama campaign is saying that the same extra time should be provided to everyone.

Lt. Colonel Oliver North pointedly took exception to the Obama campaign’s position, saying, “All this begs the question, Megyn, is to what is the entire O-team’s problem with this document, the U.S. Constitution?” North pointed out that according to the Constitution, the time, place, and manner for federal elections is to be set by state legislature.

North said the argument presents the question of whether military members should be given special considerations. He said, “First of all, they are deployed. They’re in harm’s way. They’re at risk of life and limb. They go without their families and we give them other privileges.”
