Romney Fires Back at Obama Camp After Biden’s "Chain" Comments
Yesterday in Ohio, Governor Romney unloaded on the Obama camp, saying, “This is an election in which we should be talking about the path ahead, but you don’t hear any answers coming from President Obama’s reelection campaign. That’s because he’s intellectually exhausted, out of ideas. Out of energy.”
Many political experts are saying that this was done in a way that we really haven’t seen before from Romney. He went on the offensive after Vice President Joe Biden said that his policies would put a group of Obama supporters “back in chains.”
David Webb and Alan Colmes shared reaction to these comments on today’s America’s Newsroom.
Webb said, “This is insulting to Americans and it’s certainly going to be insulting to many people.”
Colmes thinks it seems Romney is “angry and desperate,” and pointed out, “[Biden] actually came out and said he was actually referring to something that Paul Ryan had said when [Paul Ryan] used the world shackled. Clearly he misspoke, he admitted he misspoke. We can go back and forth … this is the game that gets played in the political season.”
Webb asserted, “Alan, there’s a different between context and deliberate practiced statement. This is what this was and I hope Joe Biden continues to do this.”
