Should Bibles and Beers Be Mixed?
A local pastor in Florida says, 'yes indeed.' One hour every Sunday, the pastor takes church to the popular Flora-bama bar. The practice sparked a fun debate on today's The Five, with pretty much everyone at the table backing the idea.
"They're the Thomas Edisons of worship!" Brian Kilmeade exclaimed. Andrea Tantaros also raised a good point...
"People are more generous with their money when they're sauced up, right?"
Dana Perino was the lone sole who says it wouldn't work for her because she can't drink before 6 p.m. She'd still be in the crowd to people-watch, however. Luckily, Eric Bolling doesn't have any time-stamp issues, and he says though he believes the mass should be kept in church, he's open to this idea.
On a more serious note, Bob Beckel - who has been open about his history of struggling with alcohol - said he thinks it's a good idea. "If they're drinkers, and one or two of them hear the word, I think it's helping."
What do you think?
