Two US Troops Killed by Afghan Police Officer
Two U.S. Special Forces service members were killed in Afghanistan overnight by an Afghan police officer. The newly-recruited officer used the same gun the American troops gave him as a gift just moments before. This is the sixth attack on U.S. troops by Afghan forces in just the last two weeks.
The attack comes a day after a U.S. Black Hawk helicopter crashed in Kandahar Province. All 11 people onboard died, including seven U.S. soldiers and two Navy SEALs. The Taliban claims it shot the chopper down, but the military doesn’t believe that was the case.
