For four years, Marc Panu has been proving himself as walk-on member of the Vanderbilt University football team, but this pre-season that all changed. Vanderbilt’s coach surprised Panu with a full scholarship at a team meeting, bringing the other players to their feet in a rousing and emotional round of applause! The video of the heartwarming presentation has gone viral. Coach James Franklin described Panu’s hard work on Fox and Friends this morning, saying, he’s “the perfect example of having a positive attitude, have tremendous work ethic and good things will happen for you.”

Panu reflected on the moment he received the scholarship, saying, “I was overwhelmed with joy and shock at the same time. I really had no idea what to think, but I was immensely happy.” Franklin said, “It’s showing what college football is all about – a great opportunity, a great kid, a great story at a tremendous institution like Vanderbilt.”
