Sneak Peek -- Fox News Reporting: Fixing Our Schools
Fox News investigates new solutions in Fox News Reporting: Fixing Our Schools this Sunday at 9p/ 12a ET. Juan Williams investigates and finds that 21st Century computer technology, innovative software, and “blended learning” are being used at a small public charter school in Arizona, a suburban school district in North Carolina, and in a big city school in New York.
Williams sat down with former Florida governor, Jeb Bush, and asked him to respond to critics who say his education plan is “part of a bigger agenda to take money from public institutions and give them to for-profit companies.”
Bush answered, “The money follows the child and it stays in the public schools. A lot of these myths
we have fought and pushed back in Florida because we were the first in many of these more provocative reforms to implement them. The Florida Virtual School is the largest of its kind in the country by far, and when it was started the world was supposed to have come to an end.”
The Florida Virtual School is an online program for students in K-12 and is now offered in 49 state and 46 countries. Find out more about this program and others in the sneak peek of the special below, and tune into Fox News Reporting: Fixing Our Schools, Sunday at 9p/12a ET.
