Could the RNC Be Threatened by a "Hurricane" Isaac?
There’s a massive storm gaining strength in the Caribbean that could spell huge trouble for the upcoming Republican National Convention scheduled to start next week in Tampa, Fla.
Meteorologist Janice Dean reported that the good news is that the storm is weakening, but she said the bad news is that all of the reliable computer models show this storm being brought into the Gulf of Mexico.
Dean said they think it is going to strengthen within the next 12-24 hours, perhaps becoming a hurricane. “The National Hurricane Center has this storm becoming a hurricane as it moves across south Florida Keys and then perhaps threatening the west coast of Florida, but we can’t rule out much of the Gulf Coast, including New Orleans. Some of these new models do move this storm close to Louisiana.”
