Marco Rubio Gives Bret Baier a Preview of His RNC Speech
Senator Marco Rubio stopped by to talk to Bret Baier ahead of his speech at the Republican National Convention tonight. He said, “I’m honored to do it in my home state in front of so many people who have known me for so long. But it’s just a tremendous honor no matter where it is.”
Regarding his speech, Sen. Rubio said he hopes it sets the tone of the last speech of the convention – Mitt Romney’s. He said it will speak to how successful Romney has been not only in business, but
in family life as a father, husband, and grandfather.
He told Baier that he’ll also touch on the choice that this election brings, adding, “because at the end, this election’s not a choice between two people or between Democrats and Republicans, it’s a choice between two very different views of what government should be doing in our country … So I hope to leave that on the table for [Romney] to hit out of the ball park.”
