VIDEO: Craig Romney Tears Up While Speaking About Grandparents at RNC
During his speech at the Republican National Convention, Gov. Mitt Romney's youngest son Craig became visibly moved speaking about his grandparents' journey to the United States as immigrants.
"It’s easy to forget that the story of my father’s success begins with the story of two immigrants – my grandfathers – who came to this country with little more than hope in the opportunity of America," said the younger Romney, stopping momentarily to regain his composure.
"Through their hard work and perseverance they lived the American dream," he continued, "and gave opportunities to their children they wouldn’t have had anywhere else. The Republican Party is dedicated to preserving that opportunity for all Americans."
Romney, who did missionary work in Chile, also spoke in Spanish for a portion of his speech.
