Three Dead, Including Suspected Gunman, in NJ Supermarket Shooting
Three people are dead, including the suspected gunman, after a shooting at a New Jersey supermarket.
The attack occurred
at around 4:00am ET inside a Pathmark grocery store in Old Bridge, which is about 25 miles south of New York City. The store was scheduled to open at 6:00am.
9:30am ET Update: Police believe the attacker was a current employee at the store. There is no word yet on a motive for the shootings.
10:45am ET Update: Police now describe the incident as a murder-suicide, and say they found at least two guns, including an AK-47 at the scene. They believe the shooter, 23, worked the night shift, then returned and shot two of his co-workers. There were about a dozen other people in the store at the time.
