At the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, Vice President Joe Biden accepted his party's nomination for vice president. In his remarks, Biden discussed President Obama as a man with "courage in his soul, compassion in his heart, and a spine of steel."

Biden spoke largely from a personal perspective, providing insight into how he has witnessed the commander in chief make the tough decisions of his presidency while putting the "average American" first.
