Alan Colmes: Romney Continuing Republican "Race Card" Tactics
There’s a new report out saying that President Obama and his top campaign aides have launched more personal attacks this year than the Romney campaign. Senior Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod has called Romney a “charlatan,” while deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter has suggested that Romney could be “misrepresenting his position at Bain to the SEC, which is a felony.”
Fox News contributors Alan Colmes and Mike Gallagher debated the issue on America Live. Citing Mitt Romney’s campaign speech in Iowa today, Colmes said that Romney has 'misstated item after item' about the president.
Mike Gallagher fired back saying, "Barack Obama and his surrogates have repeatedly attacked a good and decent man’s character. Mitt Romney’s been called, yes Alan, a felon who likely killed a woman with cancer … Governor Romney, on the other hand is rightly criticizing this radical government ideology that Barack Obama possesses."
Colmes blasted back saying Mitt Romney "played the race card when he said Obama just wants to sign checks to people and not have a work requirement, which really stirs up attitudes about race."
