With the Republican and Democratic National Conventions ending and Election Day fast approaching, Fox News Insider caught up with the actor in this web exclusive. Check it out below and tune in to 'Huckabee' this Saturday and Sunday at 8p ET!
Chuck Norris told the Insider that he has no plans of returning to the campaign trail, but he did open up about many of the issues affecting Americans today. Norris reacted to the DNC, saying that he was left disappointed by the president’s speech because it did not have much substance.
He pointed out that, “[President Obama] said he was going to get more jobs, but he didn’t say how he was going to get them. And he said he’s going to get a million manufacturing jobs in four years, but we’ve got 23 million people unemployed so that’s really not a very big enrollment.”
The biggest problem Americans face
, says Norris, comes down to small businesses. Speaking from his experience on the campaign trail, Norris said, “Driving around and seeing all these small businesses closed up, out of business … I think we’ve got to get a leader in there that can prop up these small businesses because that’s 70 percent of our economy.”
Another issue that concerns Norris is the future of gun rights in the United States. He forewarned, “I believe that if President Obama gets reelected, that we will have Supreme Court justices retiring and he will be putting in more liberal U.S. Supreme Court justices, which I believe will put the Second Amendment in danger.”
Norris had a message to the undecided voters: “President Obama did his best, it just wasn’t good enough […] Do we want another four years of a leader that doesn’t have that experience? I think it’s time that we get a leader in there that does.”
