Ex-Komen Foundation VP Accuses Planned Parenthood of 'Mafia-Style Attack' over $700K Grant
Fox and Friends brought us an insider's account of the dispute that occurred earlier this year between Planned Parenthood and the Susan Komen foundation over a $700,000 dollar grant.
A former senior vice president of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Karen Handel, said the
breast cancer awareness group pulled the money for Planned Parenthood because the women's health care provider doesn't perform mammograms.
Handel, author of a book called "Planned Bullyhood," also pointed out that Planned Parenthood has a $1 billion budget.
"Komen intended to realign those dollars into more impactful programs for women, and to be able to do more for women. Yet Planned Parenthood and the left unleashed a vicious, Mafia-style attack on Komen - all for $700,000 when their budget is $1 billion," she explained.
