New York City Approves Ban on Large, Sugary Drinks
New York City's Board of Health has approved a ban on sugary drinks of more than 16 ounces. It is part of a campaign by Mayor Michael Bloomberg to reduce the rate of obesity. The new regulation will apply to fast-food chains and most other places that sell prepared food, including movie theaters and Broadway shows. It does not apply
to supermarkets or convenience stores.
