Exclusive: No Demonstrations in Benghazi, Libya, Before Deadly Consulate Attack
Sources in Libya told Fox News' chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge that there were no demonstrations in Benghazi, Libya, before the attack on the U.S. Consulate that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three more Americans.
On Sunday, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice said that the American intelligence community believes the attack was a "spontaneous reaction to (the protests) in
Cairo as a consequence of the (anti-Islam) video." She said the "best information we have" indicates the attack was not planned in advance.
Herridge said the consulate came under fire from two different locations and in two waves, with the attackers using rocket-propelled grenades and mortars.
