John Sununu Defends Romney's '47 Percent' Comment, Blasts Obama for Using Class Warfare
There has been negative backlash in the media after a secret tape was released of Mitt Romney saying that 47 percent of voters who support President Obama typically depend on the government. Bloomberg published an opinion article with the headline, “Today, Mitt Romney Lost the Election.” The Washington Post had the headline, “The Romney Campaign Is in trouble.”
Today on America Live, senior Romney adviser John Sununu responded to the strong criticism against the presidential candidate. He told Megyn Kelly that, “The real story behind these comments are the fact that what’s behind it is President Obama’s very deliberate attempt
to do class warfare as part of his campaign strategy.”
Sununu went on to add that the president divides the electorate by condemning the rich, telling the job creators “they didn’t build that,” and advocating higher taxes on the wealthy. “In all of my life, there has never been a president who uses class warfare as aggressively as Obama,” he continued, “He used race warfare against Hillary Clinton and she said ‘Shame on you, Obama. And the public should be saying, 'Shame on you, Obama for class warfare.'”
