Sean Hannity's Head-to-Head With Democratic Strategist: 'You Are Like a Brain-Dead Zombie'

Sean Hannity sparred with Democratic strategist Bernard Whitman over the 2012 election, and particularly President Obama’s appearance this week on The Late Show with David Letterman. Hannity called the president’s sit-down with Letterman hypocritical, given the late night host’s past attacks on Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter. Hannity said the president's hypocrisy was highlighted by the fact that when Rush Limbaugh made derogatory remarks about Georgetown Law School student Sandra Fluke, President Obama immediately came to her defense and voiced outrage about the comments. Yet, he didn't have any problem sitting down with Letterman despite his comments about Palin's daughter.

Whitman argued, “David Letterman was making a joke; Rush Limbaugh was excoriating a young woman.” Whitman, in fact, argued that President Obama did Mitt Romney a favor during his Late Show appearance by not delving further into Romney's '47 percent' comments. Hannity then took on the fact that when asked by Letterman, the president wasn't able to remember what the national debt was when he took office, asking how that could be the case when it's gone up $6 trillion since he became president.

Whitman blasted back, “The truth is that spending under Ronald Reagan and George Bush grew at six times the rate that spending did under Barack Obama, so you can hurl these assaults …”

Frustrated with what he referred to as Whitman’s “talking points,” Hannity charged, “You are like a brain-dead, lobotomized, walking talking points zombie. Stop giving me that garbage!”
