DEBATE: Alan Colmes, Mike Gallagher Go Head-to-Head Over Obama Campaign's Redesigned American Flag
The Obama campaign caused quite a stir this week by unveiling redesigned images of the American flag, which are for sale on the campaign website.
Many have criticized the print for being disrespectful to Old Glory, while others have argued it is
a harmless piece of political artwork.
When the $35 posters were unveiled, the Obama campaign advertised them as a way to convey that "there are no red states or blue states, only the United States."
Syndicated radio host Mike Gallagher said the flag is "absolute proof positive of how tone-deaf liberal Democrats can be over issues like this," particularly with regard to veterans.
Fox News Radio host Alan Colmes argued using the American flag in political campaigns goes back to Abraham Lincoln, and accused Republicans of seizing on the issue to distract from bad poll numbers for Mitt Romney.
