WATCH: Sen. John McCain Calls Initial White House Response to Libya Attack 'Pure Foolishness'
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) joined Neil Cavuto on Your World this afternoon to discuss the White House's handling of the Libya consulate attack and the anti-American protests, and he gave his take on the 2012 presidential election.
The 2008 Republican presidential candidate said it was "pure foolishness" for the Obama administration to maintain that the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya was
a result of a spontaneous protest and not planned in advance.
He took issue with President Obama's foreign policy as a whole, characterizing it as "leading from behind."
"They believe that America is weak and we're withdrawing, and that's what it's all about," McCain said, after being asked for his take on the anti-American protests raging throughout the Middle East and the Muslim world.
