Cops Arrest Man Accused of Staging Fake Terrorist Act Starring His Teenage Nephew
Police in Phoenix, Arizona say a man recorded a video starring his teenage nephew posing as a terrorist and holding what looked like a rocket-propelled grenade. Police say the kid in the blue sheet and black mask is a 16-year-old, and the weapon is a fake. The so-called filmmaker says he shot the video just eight days after the movie massacre in Aurora, Colorado. He said he wanted to see how quickly the cops would react. It turns out, it took about 15 minutes for police to arrive on scene.
The filmmaker was arrested on suspicion of knowingly
giving a false impression of a terrorist attack, endangerment and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Police say they’re also considering charges against the 16-year-old.
