WATCH: Man to Attempt Record-Breaking Skydive From Edge of Space
Happening Now told us about the incredible plan of an Austrian man to skydive from the edge of space back to Earth. Felix Baumgartner plans to attempt the supersonic plunge on Oct. 8.
The 43-year-old Baumgartner will descend from
23 miles above New Mexico, attempting to break the world record for the highest skydive. He anticipates falling at a speed of around 700 mph, and could break the sound barrier.
