Alana Stewart on Her Past Marriages to Rod Stewart and George Hamilton; Plus, Being a Conservative in Hollywood
Alana Stewart came from humble beginnings in rural Texas and achieved stardom as an international model. She made her way to Hollywood and had two high profile marriages to actor George Hamilton and singer Rod Stewart. She shares her story of heartache in her new memoir, “Rearview Mirror.”
Today on Fox and Friends, Stewart described how she fell apart emotionally when her marriage to the rock legend ended. Of her marriage turned friendship with Hamilton, she said, “I was very lucky because he was a really terrific guy then and he still is a terrific guy now. I could’ve
met a real jerk, you know, I was young and naive.”
A conservative in Hollywood, Stewart said she learned her Texas values growing up around her grandmother whose faith in God was deep-rooted. She attributed that part of her childhood to what helped her get through tough times in her life.
Stewart said, “I used to look at people who had money when we were very poor and I never felt like entitled to what they had or they should give me some their money. It gave me a work ethic.”
