Vietnam Vet Pilots Hot Air Balloon to Champion POW-MIA Cause
A hot air balloon pilot is making a difference by flying over Washington State to spread the word about veterans. Luke Cesnik pilots the Freedom Flight Five, a 95-foot hot air balloon promoting POW-MIA awareness. For the last 23 years, he has been flying the Freedom Flight because he says as a Vietnam veteran the cause is close to his own heart.
Cesnik said, “Having the ability to go out and promote the POW-MIA issue, let people know how many people are still missing. […] We’re trying
to make sure that the families are aware of the fact that we won’t forget, and that we’re out here promoting the issue with the biggest thing that we could find.”
