Allen West: President Obama Does Not Want Americans to Realize His Foreign Policy 'Has Been a Failure'
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) stopped by Fox and Friends this morning to discuss the Obama administration's response to the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
Last week, it was revealed that the administration knew within 24 hours
that the attack was the work of terrorists. But the following weekend, UN Ambassador Susan Rice appeared on several talk shows, claiming the attack was a spontaneous result of a demonstration over an anti-Islam video.
The White House has since admitted the attack was planned for 9/11 and was likely the work of al Qaeda's North African wing.
West had harsh words for President Obama, accusing him of being "complicit" in trying to mislead Americans after the attack.
"It's very simple. They do not want to have their foreign policy exposed as being a failure. And if you think about when we initially went into Libya 18-19 months ago, there were many concerns about the people we were helping - these fighters - were those who had been in Iraq or other places fighting against our men and women. ... Now we see that's come to fruition," said West.
