Arnold Schwarzenegger Opens Up to Hannity About New Book 'Total Recall' and Winning Back Maria Shriver
In a sit-down interview, former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger told Sean Hannity that he hopes to reunite with estranged wife Maria Shriver, who filed for divorce following revelations that Schwarzenegger fathered a child with the couple’s housekeeper. Currently, the actor is promoting his new book, "Total Recall," which describes his successes and his failures.
In what he called a “huge screw up,” Schwarzenegger said the affair destroyed his family. He said, “I couldn’t even blame anybody else but myself, because my wife
was a fantastic wife, she was a great adviser, everything, great mother.”
Schwarzenegger maintains that the groping charges that came out days before the gubernatorial election were untrue and politically motivated.
His focus now is on regaining the trust of his children and wife. Schwarzenegger said, “I am the forever optimist, so I do see that Maria and I get together eventually. You know the trick is that it takes a lot of time to heal those wounds and trust each other again. But I will make every effort.”
