IKEA Apologizes for Airbrushing Women Out of Catalogs Sent to Saudi Arabia
IKEA has issued an apology after airbrushing women out of catalogs that were sent to Saudi Arabia.
Someone at the company apparently thought that the presence of women in the catalogs would offend Muslims in the religiously conservative country. Women in Saudi Arabia are not allowed to drive and are denied many other basic rights.
IKEA later said the decision was not in line with the company's values.
