Rita Gigante Talks About Growing Up the Daughter of a Notorious New Jersey Mob Boss
Rita Gigante, daughter of notorious New Jersey mob boss Vincent "The Chin" Gigante, stopped by Fox and Friends this morning to talk about her new book, "The Godfather's Daughter."
In it, she
discusses coming to terms at age 16 with the realization of who her father was.
"Finding out was kind of a relief for me, because I knew something was going on but I didn't know exactly what it was," said Gigante, who now works as a medium.
On coming to terms with her father's crimes, she said she "chose to look at the good" parts about her relationship with him. She also discussed her late father's famed strategy of feigning mental illness in order to mask his role in the mob and delay trial proceedings.
