Carney Faces Tough Questioning From Fox News Channel’s Ed Henry on Whether President and VP Were Briefed on Libya Security Needs

In a White House press briefing earlier this afternoon, Fox News Channel’s Ed Henry challenged Jay Carney on whether the president and vice president were briefed on the request for more security personnel in Benghazi before the Libya Consulate attack.

Henry questioned, “You’re saying from this podium that the president and the vice president have never been briefed about the fact that more security was needed in Benghazi?”

“What I’m saying is that matters of security personnel are appropriately discussed and decided upon at the State Department,” Carney responded.
