Cavuto: Republicans and Democrats Need to Compromise Before U.S. Economy Blows Up

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) spoke to Neil Cavuto during the Cost of Freedom special, ‘Countdown to Catastrophe?’ Sen. Johnson said he wouldn’t walk away from spending cuts and charged that, “The blame squarely lies on the president [and] Sen. Harry Reid for never passing a budget for more than three years in the United States Senate.”

Cavuto interjected, “It’s not as if the Democrats are all evil or you’re all saints. The fact of the matter is right now we face this -- that unless this is fixed and soon, and Republicans get off the idea that

you can’t even touch defense and Democrats get off the idea you can’t even consider reigning in the growth of entitlements, […] we’re going to go into an abyss.”
