Undecided Voters React to Romney’s Debate Performance: It Was a Good Night for Mitt
“As important as the first debate was, this one may be even more so,” stated Frank Luntz after hearing what a group of undecided Nevada voters had to say about Governor Mitt Romney’s debate performance.
Among the responses given by the participants, the words “believable,” “confident,” “just average” and “substantive” were used to describe
Romney’s performance. “He emphasized what he was going to do, didn’t just tear down ... his opponent,” said one undecided voter. Another remarked, “I didn’t hear anything new out of Mr. Romney that I haven’t heard in the last six months.”
Almost all of them, however, reacted favorably to one of Romney’s final responses in which he outlined his dream for America. “He speaks in such a way that it becomes inspiring,” said one man. “He was accessible,” felt another woman.
