Alan Colmes: Eva Longoria Should Resign as Obama Campaign Co-Chair After Vulgar Anti-Romney Retweet
Actress Eva Longoria, who serves as an Obama campaign co-chair, sparked an uproar by retweeting a vulgar tweet about Governor Romney. The tweet read, “I have no idea why any woman/minority can vote for Romney. You have to be stupid to vote for such a racist/misogynistic tw*t.” The controversy prompted liberal commentator Alan Colmes to call for Longoria to resign as a campaign co-chair.
On Thursday’s America Live, Colmes said, "I think she should resign from the campaign or be asked to resign as co-chair because I don't think it reflects well on the campaign."
Colmes also said, “If I were the Obama campaign, I would not like to have someone use that language as a co-chair … That kind of rhetoric should have no place in our campaigns.”
