New Polls Show Romney Gaining in the Polls, But How Is He Doing in Swing States?
Pollster Frank Luntz reacted to the latest polls and what it means as Election Day fast approaches. Republican candidate Mitt Romney has been climbing in the poll numbers, which Luntz says shows the continued momentum from the first presidential debate.
The key state in this election is Ohio. Most of the polls show that Romney is down in that state. Luntz said, “You could have a situation where Barack Obama wins the Electoral College
and Mitt Romney wins the popular vote. It’s only happened three times in American history.”
The odds of that happening are not high, and other states that will factor in greatly are Virginia, Wisconsin, New Hampshire and Iowa. While the polls may show Romney with an advantage, he is either losing or tied in the key states.
