Sununu: President Obama's Handling of Libya Attack Was Either 'Blatant Dishonesty or Absolute Incompetence'
Former governor and Romney surrogate, John Sununu (R-NH) spoke to Uma Pemmaraju on America’s News HQ to preview how foreign policy will affect the election. He said, “Fundamentally, the mistake this administration made was trying to pretend to itself and tell the world that terrorism was quelled in North Africa and across the dangerous parts of the world.”
Sununu said that Romney was shocked during the second presidential debate when President Obama, “lied about having referred to the [Libya] attack as a real terrorist attack in the Rose Garden speech. I think that’s what threw Governor Romney off.
He couldn’t believe the president was so blatantly dishonest.”
He added, “When the president went to the U.N. and said 'video' six times, when by that time it was clear to everybody that it had nothing to do with the [anti-Islamic] video -- it is either blatant dishonesty or absolute incompetence.”
Sununu predicted that the president’s foreign policy failures coupled with the poor economy will be the big issues at play in this election. He believes that Romney will win New Hampshire, the swing state Obama won last time around, by two to three percentage points.
