Peter Johnson Jr.: America Has Become a 'Powerless Witness' to Terrorism in the Middle East
President Obama made a promise to the Muslim world on July 4th, 2009 when he gave a speech in Cairo, Egypt stating that he came to “seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world.” At the time, the president was hoping for a new beginning but critics are arguing that America’s credibility overseas has taken a hit in the past few years.
Peter Johnson Jr. weighed in today on Fox and Friends. He said, “The Mideast is in terrorist flames today. And unfortunately we’ve become a powerless witness
to our own demise and destruction in the Middle East in terms of our relationships.”
Johnson could not identify one nation where America’s relationship has been strengthened over the past four years. He said the real issue in Libya is not if there was a cover up after the attack on the U.S. Consulate, but how President Obama reacted when he was first notified about it on September 11th.
Amid reports that there was an unmanned drone overhead as the attack unfolded, Johnson asked, were the four Americans killed "expendable" as part of a foreign policy that was afraid of inflaming militants in the crowd?
