Michelle Malkin: Content of Libya Emails Does Not Fit the Mainstream Media's 'Glossy Narrative of the Obama Administration'
Michelle Malkin joined ‘Fox and Friends’ this morning to discuss mainstream media coverage of the Obama administration's handling of the Libya attack. Yesterday, a series of emails were obtained by Fox News showing that the White House knew two hours after the attack that a militant group claimed responsibility and that mortars were used in a second attack.
Malkin started off with some strong words about the coverage: “The pose of most mainstream journalism, particularly the Washington Press Corps, is to cover their ears like this, and close their eyes really tight, and go ‘La la la, we can’t hear you,’ when the American people are demanding answers...”
Steve Doocy pointed out that other shows devoted mere seconds to Libya in their Wednesday morning coverage. “CBS This Morning” covered the story for 52 seconds, “Good Morning America” for 25 seconds, and the “Today Show” for zero seconds.
“I know that there’s so many people watching whose blood pressure has been through the roof for the last six weeks, seeing all the machinations and the evolutions and the straight up bald-faced lies that continue to drip out of this administration over this bloody debacle,” Malkin said. “Talking about the content of these emails does not fit the glossy narrative of the Obama administration that so many of these water carriers in the media want to peddle.”
