Judge Napolitano: The Government Can Lie and Cheat and Conceal the Truth ... The Remedy Is Voting
On Fox and Friends this morning, Gretchen Carlson talked to Judge Andrew Napolitano about whether there are any legal ramifications for the Obama administration over its response to the Sept. 11 attack in Libya.
Based on his readings of Supreme Court rulings, which he called "difficult" to assess, Napolitano said there is no legal action to be taken against the government for lying.
"The government can lie
, and cheat, and conceal the truth. And the remedy when the government does this is not a legal action against the government. It's to vote the government out of office," said Napolitano.
He pointed out that it's "indisputable" - especially after the State Department emails released to Fox News - that the administration knew immediately that the attack did not result from protests over the anti-Islam video.
Watch the full discussion below, including Napolitano's thoughts on the government refusing to officially label the Fort Hood shootings as a terror attack.
