"I Do Not Appreciate Cowardice, And I Do Not Appreciate Lies": Father of Former Navy SEAL Killed in Libya Attack Reacts to Learning His Son Disobeyed Orders to Save Fellow Americans

On yesterday's America Live, father of former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods - who was killed in the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya - talked with Megyn Kelly about the current administration's handling of the situation. Today, Woods returned to the program to react to breaking news exclusively reported by FOX revealing that officials denied military requests to provide assistance three separate times during the seven-hour attack on the consulate. It was Tyrone Woods who disobeyed those orders to stand down in order to come to the aid of his fellow Americans ... and he paid the ultimate price.

Woods' father, Charlie, told Kelly today that he's not interested in political arguments, but he does want to know who decided to not dispatch troops who could have helped, instead leaving his son to defend the Americans on his own while fighting for his life.

"This is not about politics ... if it were about

politics, it would dishonor my son's death. It's about honor, integrity and justice," he said.

"This news that he disobeyed his orders does not surprise me. My son was an American hero, and he had the moral strength to do what was right ... even if it would have professionally cost him his job, even if it would have cost him his life."

Woods went on to say that while he forgives those who gave the orders that indirectly led to his son's death, he wishes they would take a lesson from the young former SEAL's courage.

"The reason I'm speaking out right now is that after the facts came out that the White House [...] watched my son and denied his pleas for help, my son violated his orders to protect the lives of at least 30 people," he said, adding, "He risked his life to be a hero; I wish the leadership in the White House had the same level of moral courage that my son displayed."
